Hamiltons applies specialist coatings where the finish has to perform as well as look right. Our decorators apply performance coating systems to the manufacturer's specification, with the preparation and finish you would expect from a high-end decorating team.

Intumescent coatings

Intumescent coatings expand when exposed to heat, protecting the surface beneath and helping the building achieve the fire performance its design requires. Clear lacquer systems let timber keep its natural appearance; paint systems give a decorative finish to beams, joinery and structural steel. We apply both to the manufacturer's specification, with film thicknesses checked and recorded for the project's fire-safety documentation.

Mineral paints

Mineral silicate paints such as Keim bond with mineral substrates such as render, stone, brick and lime plaster, giving a breathable, colourfast finish that lasts for decades rather than years. Translucent lasur systems keep the character of brick and stone while evening out the tone. We prepare and apply mineral paint systems to external facades and internal walls, including period and listed properties.
